Setup of a MicroTik Radio
- First of all make sure the MicroTik in the car is powering up.
- Connect a laptop to the radio
- Set a static IP address 192.168.88.5
- Also set a secondary IP address 10.1.100.254
- Open a browser and go to 192.168.88.1 The user name is admin and the password is blank
- The very first screen go to IP address and change it to 10.1.100.1 and Change Router Identity to Unit### Also change the password to small nonroot
- Make sure and uncheck DHCP Server
- At the top of the page click on WebFig and double click on wlan1
- Press the Apply button on the top and then ok
- Go to Security Profiles and double click on the default
- Change the mode to “dynamic keys”
- Turn on WPA2 PSK and WPA2 EAP Then enter the Pre-Shared Key
- Go back to wireless and wireless sniffer Make sure the WiFi shows up except the PDOffload
